I think I will try to post a weekly post about nails on Wednesday (try is the key word). So Today I wanted to share with you a very pretty color combination for spring. I want to apologize ahead of time as this manicure is a week old and is starting to look bad, and my cuticles are in horrendous shape, but I still wanted to share it with you so bare with me.
Above is the look I used Essie Navigate Her, a pastel pea green (very pretty on the nails), and on top I used Essie Luxe Effects in As Gold As It Gets. its very pretty and the gold flakes are really subtle. it gives it just a bit of sheen.
The formula of Navigate her is very thin so it takes 3 coats to get it opaque, and I used only one coat of the gold to give it the subtle effect. I know my photos are not the best, but I am just using my iphone to take pictures at the moment until I get the hang of this blogging thing.
and while I am at it I want to share my top coats I use right now. For after I paint my nails I use Out The Door topcoat, as it is quick drying, very glossy and does not peel, chip or shrink the nail polish.
Okay, i think that is it for today, let me know what you think and hopefully next time my nails look a bit better.
